Anyone know where i get get my hand on a couple of Threadripper 3970x in canada ?

I only found  memory express website that list them but it's special order. Found it strange as since i was waiting for it they mentioned the 25th was the release date US and Canada.

I need to buy at least 2 of them.

They are already out of stock, demand is a lot higher than TSMC capacity to produce them.

They were out of stock before even being released ? i have been following the websites since the 24th.

Yes, AMD stated all stock made for the release date were sold in an hour.

while I don't have any advice on where to buy i would say this is one of the few times were buying other parts ahead of time makes sense as long as you are committed to Threadripper since you will need a beefy PSU and I highly recommend custom water cooling

i wish the talks to bring TSMC to america wouldn't of fallen through, chinese mobile manufacturers apparently eating up like 60% of the demand iirc.  Maybe AMD can get more leverage given how great there sales have been but part of me doubts it if other companies already have such a stronghold on TSMC

just imagine if we could of had 3x the TR3 and 3950x  , there would be a lot less low-scale techtubers screaming "paper launch" rn
