No, you'll need a motherboard with a 300 series chipset.

So a H310, B360, H370, Z370, or Z390

Im replacing my CPU. I wan't to upgrade from my Intel Core i5-6400 to a Intel Core i5-9400F but I don't know if my motherboard which is an SDK0J40700 will be compatible with the i5-9400F? If anybody could help me out I would be very grateful!

No, 9th gen CPU's require a 300 series chipset board. The highest upgrades possible on your board are an i7 6700 or i7 7700 (BIOS update required).

Nope.

Boards that work with 6th/7th gen Intel will not work with 8th/9th gen Intel (unless you do some BIOS hacking, which is not really feasible).

 

The best you could probably do with that board is an i7 7700K/7700/6700(K) or another 6th/7th gen i5.

You might have to do a BIOS update first, but it's not a given that even 7th gen will be supported on a pre-built PC board. So 6th gen is the safest bet.. But i5 6th gen is also not a huge upgrade.

6th and 7th gen cpus have their own motherboards, and 8th and 9th gen have their own boards. unfortunately the best CPU you'd be able to get is something along the lines of an i7 6700/7700, which are pretty expensive on the used market.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

6700k is the best CPU that will absolutely work with the board you have.  7700k may or may not work depending on weather or not the manufacturer decided to add support in the BIOS for it.
