GPU Suggestions?

K i a r a

Hey.

So, I have been slowly upgrading my PC and now I think updating my GPU is a must.

The only real game I play atm is the new Call Of Duty.

And with my current 1050ti Mini, I can hardly hold 60fps with the lowest settings, and 90% resolution.

Any suggestions on what I should look into.

I can not afford anything pricey.

With black Friday coming up im guessing there are going to be some sales, price max is like 300 CAD.

The recommended specs for Medium is

Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / GTX 1660 or Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580

Will the GTX 1660 make a noticable difference in games compared to my 1050ti?

Looking for suggestions on what to do.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600.

RAM 16gb DDR4 3000? (I think)

Thanks!

The 1660 should be a nice step up, if you are just going to go for 1080p I would look at the 1650 super. It looks like it is going to be the budget 1080p king (it’s looks much better than the base 1650).

If you are really lucky, you may be able to snatch a 2060. But since that's probably not the case, just buy the new 1660 super. Cheaper than the 1660ti with marginal difference, and only a little bit more than the regular 1660 which is quite a bit lower in performance.

My Build (5800X3D, RTX 3070)

B1 is an old power supply but 600w is plenty for either rx 580 or gtx 1660.

Yeah 2060 looks alot out of my price range. 1660 Super looks very promising though.

This compassion huts my 1050tis eyes tho.

Yo, you MIGHT be able to swing a 5700 non XT for that price point, or maybe a little more.  I've seen them for as low as $270 USD (not sure how the prices are in canuckland) on neweeg witha  promo code.  But that card is WAY more powerful than the 1660 or the 580.  You can also flash it with an XT bios to put it within the margin of error of XT performance.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

ts faster than the 1660 by a notable margin in some titles, way faster in others.  Especially when you flash it with a vega 64 bios (usually performs better than an actual vega 64 due to thermal restrictions).  I've yet to have an issue with eabay GPUs, and if it has issues, you have eBay buyer protection.  Not to mention further implemetation of Vulkan DX12 is pushing the vega 64 past the 2080ti in a few select titles.
