i got this 16gb usb storage stick and i quickly formatted it a few times

i then wanted to move stuff onto it, but it was going to take 45 minutes, so i cancelled it

i did a quick format again then wanted to do a normal format, and it hardly moved in 3 or 4 minutes, so i cancelled, but the pc system crashed on the program, so i ended the process

i then did a quick format a few more times

i dont want to put something on there and have those sequence of events have the potential to corrupt future data i put on there

how much of a possibility is that?

i should really just do a normal format over night, which i forgot to do last night.

I've messed around with enough USB thumb sticks and Rufus or the like that if Windows and Rufus is having problems with it, it's likely that I've messed up the lower level functions of the USB drive and it needs to be fixed beyond a simple format or partition management. The thumb drive may be recoverable, but I don't think I it's worth the investment on my part so I haven't looked into it.
