Hi. I was watching the video about cheap vs expensive gaming and I thought I would share my view of budget (of course with o monitor or peripheral if you already have them at hand).

I don't really know if these "stack up" well but I looked for as much info as I could before looking for these. Note that the ram is meant to be 2 X 8gb. Have a good one and thanks for the videos and all the info. (I've only looked an i dont have any of these. Planning on getting a better budget for a slightly better build.

Dunno if that SSD has a DRAM cache

APUs need dual channel 3200mhz RAM, not sure if that's a single stick

B450 is the minimum motherboard chipset to go for, and you'd want one with a VRM heatsink on both VRMs for an APU.

Probably want to try and find a used R5 2400G instead if possible.

PSU is pretty meh.

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

It is meant to be budget. The ram is a single stick 8gb 3200MHz but I would make it 2 for dual channel. The PSU is also meant to be budget to the max that is why its only 500w and not modular. I went the cheapest I could find. I'm thinking of getting a Ryzen 7 later as this was just a budget test. I didn't get any of these components as I was trying to see how cheap I could get a very low end gaming pc. With 16gb ram 3200MHz (2x8gb). The motherboard is the one thing I still struggle to understand. Slowly I'm getting info about the other parts.

I will also take in consideration the info you've given me about the Motherboard.

Thank you for your insight =).

This is the minimum I'd get for a budget build that is still upgradeable. You can save an extra £70 by getting a second hand gpu

I would recommend you to find deals on used r5 1600 combos. They are sold for pretty cheap. Got a r5 1600 + b350 pro4 + 16gb 3000mhz ram for $100 last week.

You can find rx580s for around $100 on ebay. For a budget build, u can use a $20 crappy case.

No, that ssd uses a SMI SM2258XT controller, which is a DRAMless controller.

Try and find a used RX 480/580 8GB, it should  be a lot cheaper, and it's pretty hard to break a GPU through normal use.
