Which single slot?

I'm stuck between a GTS 240, and a 9800GT. My friend has a GTS 240 and it is quite impressive at video games. I've looked at the specs for both. The 9800GT and GTS240 both have 112 Cuda Cores. The GTS240 is higher clocked though. Which one should I get? I'm willing to oc both gpu's.

Neither,, both of those are extremely old..

 

What's your budget and other system specs?

 

Edit:... single slot ehh,, hmmm..

Anything less than $100. I realize I can get the HD7750 but I can get a GTS240 for $45 on ebay and a 9800GT for $42.

I'd go for HD7750 rather than either of those two even considering the prize difference...

I would try to save up for a 7750 if you can.. Digging around on ebay, I found a couple single slot 7750's for ~70-80, and the performance improvement over your other options should make it worth the money..

 

If you're looking for a decent gaming experience, I wouldn't try to pinch pennies on the GPU.. It's better to buy something more expensive now and not need a quick upgrade instead of going cheap now then spending more later..

I was curious So I Started looking for some Slim single slot Gpus for you.
