Audio Headset issues. No microphone pick up.

Hello. 

 

I have the Cloud II Headset HyperX, Had my first for about a year they worked great. 
A headphone broke, So i returned it, My new ones ive had for about a year now, and ive never got the mic to work.

It picks up only static. 

 

It comes with a spliter that looks like this. Here

Things I have tried to do.

- Use different headphones. My audio is still not picked up.

- I tried to use the back ports on my PC still nothing.

- Tried to set my headset as the default mic. This is what my Sound control pannel looks like.

I really have no clue what the issue is, The one thing I tested was with a headset that plugged in via USB the mic worked on it.

 

In the past with my old headset i used some kind of audio program so i could play clips so people on my team in game could hear. But since then I have wiped my computer so im not sure if thats an issue.

As bad as it is, have you tried using the USB dongle it comes with?

This version of the headset has no USB dongle. it is only the 2 3.5mm jack

Have you tried updating the drivers on your on-board audio/card, whatever is applicable to you?

Does this mean Realtek ? If so I have it yeh,

I dont think I gottta audio card, unless its just on my motherboard.

Yes, your Reatek drivers for your board are up to date?

Seems like the last update they have was 2017.

Is the 3.5mm splitter detachable? Or is it one primary cable going from the headset slitting at the end with no adapter?

it has the single 3.5mm 

and then has another cable with the one for mic and other for audio. due to the single one being for PS4/Xbox. and then you use the spliter for PC

The splitter is probably bad. Go to your motherboard's manufactures website and double check for updated audio drivers.

I'd blame the splitter you got. Can you try it on another system?

I cant, But I have beats, with the single 3.5mm jack, wouldn't it still pick up me talking if i talked in them? 
Because I tried and it didnt work. 

Plugged right into my PC.
