Is the gigabyte b365m DS3H compatible with an i5-9600kf without bios update?

Yep.

The B365 boards are made for 9th gen CPU's.

 

Personally I do prefer Ryzen 3000 CPU's though, like the 3600X. Similar singe core performance, but with double the threads.

I bought  the i5 at just 140€ and I think that I got a good deal
