Honestly, I think consoles have great exclusives, a lot of which, kick pc exclusives' asses. But don't get me wrong, I'm all pc gamer. Just I wish ALL of the pc exclusives were as kick ass as a few of the console ones. However, pc is still better and has plenty of exclusives that are better than the console exclusives.

let's hope they will stick to the concept of no exclusives on SteamOS.

That would be really annoying.

Well, it won't be a problem really (well for those who are tech-savvy anyway) because it is not like paying out for hundreds of pounds out for a 'next gen' console.

i still wouldn't like having to have two OS' on my PC because of some exclusives on SteamOS.

I think it depends on what sought of games you want to  play, in terms of the big AAA titles (which is what most gaming consumers are interested in) consoles get good exclusives and better service compared to PC (by better service I just mean the game comes out earlier and earlier access to dlc).

I would  not argue that there are more exclusive games on console than PC but allot of the exclusives that exist on PC (hordes of indie games) I am really just not that interested in.

Well there is a vlidity to it.

Exclusives on consoles are usually (not always) AAA titles such as Halo, Killzone, Uncharted.

PC get exclusives that are usually (not always) indie.

Why? The answer is really simple and I don't know a lot of people haven't figured it out.

m4RZmtF.jpg

For indie games, often they are just not big enough to be accepted to XBox Live or PSN. And that's why almost all indie games are exclusive to PC since you don't really need permission from the "big guys" to publish PC games.

As for popular, exclusive console games.

Xbox is represented by Microsoft.

Playstation is represented by Sony.

Microsoft and Sony pay developers (sometimes even buy the whole company) to make games exclusive to their own consoles.

Who's gonna pay game developers to make games exclusive to PC? No one.

There you go, that's what.

I do see the point, but just because console gets AAA exclusives, does not mean they're good exclusives.

Unpopular opinion, but The last Of Us was not a good game in terms of mechanics gameplay and graphics.

the story was great, i loved it, Brought me almost to tears. but gameplay wise...meh

I didn't say AAA titles are better. But like pop music and blockbusters, that's what the mass wants.

Personnaly I like to play indie games as well as AAA titles. But that's not the case with my friends, even the ones who play on PC.

Rlly? It's personal preference. You can't say PC or Console have "better" exclusives. Someone might like Uncharted someone might not.

Honestly, half of those are entertaining for me to watch others play and then another quarter of them are actually fun for me to play.

A lot of those games are cool but a lot of them require a ton of concentration which I just can't really put into games nowadays.

Its their opinion is all, I love the PC indie exclusives, but also all the Nintendo exclusives.

Mates have grown up playing Halo and whatnot, so makes sense they love playing them, whereas I played more Mario/Zelda/Super Smash.

^This. Nintendo was my childhood, and the games I played during my childhood were amazing. I still play a lot of them frequently. In fact, me and my friend are currently working on doing a 3-heart run of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Gamecube.

As someone who doesn't care much about gaming I still want to give my opinion.

Firstly, indie games don't count as exclusives. I base this on the fact that apart from a VERY small minority nobody bases the purchase of a pc over some terribly developed indie game. Secondly, consoles have just as many indie games as PC

Better exclusives are for PC? This is just a horrible statement as it is based entirely on personal opinion. For example I believe the best exclusives are on Nintendo consoles.

I could defend the purchase of either a console or a PC as both options have positives and negatives.

Also I have no idea what most of those games you listed are.

Yeah.  It is fun when online with a friend though, not public online.  There are some good co-op things, like killing the bandits for xp.

But the game is best in campaign.

Often use the argument that Consoles get better exclusives?

It is personal opinion, but PC gets way more and way better exclsusives.

Here are some.

KSP

DayZ

Rust

Stalker

Civilization

Total War

Arma

Amnesia

Counter Strike

And don't even get me started on all the other great Indie games.

I know this is another "hurr durr PC master race thread" but come on.

Anyway, just a little rant. :)

counter-strike was on xbox (bad game... i owned a copy of it)
