Hi,

I recently changed my CPU and Mobo... in the beginning I had no watermark with windows acting normally, but now I have a watermark and my windows product code no longer works. I have tried all the Microsoft help pages and nothing has worked. Just asking for some help.

Thanks

Not sure how to do it but I know Microsoft is binding the keys to your motherboards now

Not sure on the process but you need to register your new board to the code and take the old one off

You should be able to call MS about it. Or rebuild your old PC and link the license key to your MS account, then build the new PC and log into your MS account and it should activate it.

Then it's not valid anymore since that's essentially a new machine. Need a new license.

Do you have any retail 7 or 8.1 keys laying around?  Try those, it will just do the free upgrade and create a new win 10 license for this motherboard.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
