I finished my very first personal build just this weekend, and tried to install the windows 10 creation tool(64 bit) from my previous laptop using a 8GB USB. The process seemed okay, the BIOS would boot normally (MSI Click BIOS 5) and I could proceed from there to plugging in the USB, restarting the computer, and letting the program boot up. I could go through the process of selecting my language, inputting the code for the full version of windows 10, and choosing where to install the OS (onto the hard drive, which is my only option). It would run down the small list of tasks, up until the "finishing up" option, where the problem begins. It does a quick restart, then reverts to the "pro series" logo, some spinning dots, and the message "getting ready". Soon the message disappears, and the dots freeze in one place. The longest I've let it sit like this was two hours, and held no results. I've recieved one error message somehow, which simply tells me "Inaccessable_boot_device", and I fear this means my hard drive is already ruined, even though I purchased it a day ago.

Please help.

i never saw a heic image file before lol\

based on that, did you try to hard restart it again ?

if that fails, try to reinstall windows.

if that fails again try a different version of windows.

if all else fails. just wait for the reply of the others.

I've tried hard restarting multiple times, and reinstalling on the formatted drive multiple times. What version of windows would you suggest that would make it easier to upgrade to windows 10 after?
