Is this a good deal?

IBuyPower computer- 2080 and 8700k (I know about the QC issues)

1440p, VA, Ultrawide, 100hz monitor (BenQ if that makes a difference)

all together- 1200 USD

Just monitor- 325 USD

What do I do?

A 2080 and an 8700k is $850 by themselves, so $875 for the entire computer is a smashing deal (assuming new with full warranty). Sounds a bit too good to be true, so do your due diligence.

do i try and just get the computer itself? i consulted reddit before this and someone said that the 2080 would have a hard time running the monitor at 100hz.

This is true for some AAA titles at max settings, but not every title is that demanding and there's no rule saying that you must run max settings. Also, it's likely that the monitor has some form of variable refresh rate, so it's not the end of the world if you don't hit 100fps.
