Well if you are not going to use all 3 monitors for gaming then look at the benchmarks of the cards in your budget for whatever res. you are going to be playing in and pick one because those other 2 monitors will make max. %5 diffrence compared to only one.

Why do you need the location? You can get almost everything everywhere...

I would go with nVidia Card, but that's just my own opinion... I had 4 ATI cards in my life and all of them died within warrenty, but who wants to live 6 weeks w/o a graphics card...

A GTX 460 can handle Portal 2 on full graphics. Don't know if you can connect 3 monitors to it, though. :/

If you're looking for a cheap model then I would actually recommend ATI, but as I said... I do not actually recommend them, if you know what I mean. :P

Please, get over the past and recommend according to the present.

Why wouldn't you recommend an AMD** card? A 7850 is AMD and could also max Portal 2. And I need location because if he says 500 dollars, what kind of dollars is he talking about, know what I mean?

Just because ATI cards died out on you does not mean it will do so to others. :D

Go for a R9 270 or 270x. That'll do.

true.... but 4 times? My last AMD card was back in 2010 so it's been a while... Maybe they've done smth, but I still don't belive.

A friend of mine had one for almost 8 years and it still works and he ist using it for his Media Station... I'm not saying that every AMD card is bad

Bad Luck Brian i guess? Hahaha.

sorry not looking to spend maybe more than 150ish and I'm in the us

then get a 650ti. It should run portal 2 fine. If you can stretch your budget, get a 270 or a 660

It can happen with nVidia cards, too. But never experienced it and hopefully never will. As I said before... I'm sure AMD is not that bad, just because my caeds died. Otherwise AMD would not exist on the market anymore.

I have Portal 2 installed on the rig with the 460 and it's running smooth.

problem is that I need it to run 3 monitors also and a 460 cant push 3 monitors.

See if you can find h7xxx cards on cheap.

I heard someone found a hd7850 or hd 7850 at 130$, it beats 200$ cards.
