HI there!

I am thinking of building a PC in the near future and have most of the parts in mind, my budget is of $2300NZD for the pc only, I will be using the pc for streaming and gaming along with some video editing and school homework. The monitor will be 1440p 144hz 27" btw

These are the parts that I will most likely be using (might change them according to what I learn/ what I get recommended), would appreciate recommendations on what to upgrade/ change.

Cheers

I like what I see here. Consider some 3600 MHz RAM, that works the best for Zen2.

Also, I'd recommend a stronger PSU and a better CPU cooler. Does not have to be an expensive cooler, something like a Snowman with 6 pipes from AliExpress would do just fine.

Great build, I checked and NVMe or 3600MHz rams are really overpriced so good choices !

The PSU is just fine and one of the best with enough wattage too.

And if you don't plan to OC, the included CPU cooler is more than fine too. Also you don't have a lot of choices from what I can see apart from the Dark Rock 4 and it's overpriced.

Hi there @191x7 I'll be sure to do some research on CPU coolers and PSU , do you have any recommendations on ram? I have read some reviews saying that it is overclockable to 3600mhz but changed it down to 3400mhz for longer term use. I was thinking of a 750W power supply https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/product/y88H99/evga-supernova-g3-650w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-220-g3-0650.

@Oalei The first NVME that was recommended to me was https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/product/zwL48d/intel-660p-512-gb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-ssdpeknw512g8x1

Thinking of using linux as an operating system btw any recommendations on how much SSD or storage I should need?

Cheers

DO NOT get a G3, your PSU choice is more than fine.

Ok. why not, just wondering? Ill stick with the one I have.

Thanks

Here is why :

The TXm is tier A (Recommended for high end gaming systems and workstations with single GPU setup) while the G3 is tier D (Potentially dangerous, but only in specific situations).

Also in Australia, it's the best I could find for the price too so really good choice here.

Hi @Plouffe I am planing on OC in the future  and was considering an AIO for when I get a bit more money. However Im not gonna be overclocking right off the bat and was thinking of just sticking with the stock cooler meanwhile.

@PlouffeI tested it and got 688.5W

Should I look for a good 700-750W PSU instead?

Most "calculator" are crap to be honest, PCP give usually a better estimation.

A more demanding 9900k + 2080ti can run OC with a 550w.
