Hey guys,

im interested in the 16 gb G.Skill Trident Z Royal gold ram sticks. My CPU is the ryzen 7 3700x. Im going with 3600mhz but i am not sure which one to choose because there are different cl timings and i dont know how much it would impact the perfomance.

1. G.Skill Trident Z Royal gold DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3600, CL16-19-19-39 137Euros

2. G.Skill Trident Z Royal gold DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3600, CL17-18-18-38 169Euros

3. G.Skill Trident Z Royal gold DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3600, CL16-16-16-36 210Euros

Which one would you reccomend me. the 3rd option for 210Euro will probably have the best perfomance but its sold out right now. will it be really that noticeable from the 2nd or 1st, or should i just buy the 2nd?

1. Decent Micron Rev.E

2. Ok Samsung B-die

3. Better Samsung B-die

You will be hard pushed to see any difference between them without manual overclocking. Even if you do manually overclock them you can only feel the difference in select tasks that heavily uses the memory.

personally i'd just go first because 1fps isnt worth 32 quid to me, and 2fps isnt worth 73.

Now im not a overclocker but i think first one may be better anyway cuz the first numbers the important-er ones i think. You might just be able to oc the first one down as low if not lower if you wanted that extra frame anyway.

Other answers will follow.

Not really noticeable.

Also you can set OC the timings yourself.

There is a gain to buy the more expensive stuff, that being said is it worth the money? You can buy the cheapest sticks and OC it.

Main System: Ryzen 2700, Asus Crosshair VII Hero, EVGA GTX 1080ti SC, 970 EVO Plus NVMe, Crucial Ballistix 3200mhz CL14, CM H500, CM ML240L cpu cooler.

Second System: Ryzen 2400G, Gigabyte B450 DS3H, RX 580 Nitro+, Kingston A400 SSD, Team T-Force 3200mhz CL15

If it ain't overclocked it ain't good...
