Posted November 6, 2019 Hello, I am looking to upgrade my old 24" 1080p IPS 60hz monitor to something better I am looking to something under 300£ (UK), 144hz 24inches or above 1080p or above. I would use it for gaming but not exclusively so nice colors are welcomed. I was looking at LG 27UK650 27 inch 4K UHD HDR 10 Height Adjustable IPS Monitor which currently goes for 350 which is above my budget but if i am getting 4k 144hz 27" i guess it's worth the difference? What you guys would recommend in and around this budget as best choice?

Very cheap but its a good panel. They use Samsung panel or another company, they don't make their own. If your gaming at 1080p then getting a 4k monitor on desktop will be fine but when you game and its non native resolution then things will not be sharp and be blurry and nasty. If your gaming at 1080p then you need a 1080p native resolution monitor. Posted November 6, 2019 Author I am probably going to game on 1080, so that's a good call. However this monitor is currently unavailable in the UK
Posted November 6, 2019 a pretty unknown Monitor from HP (That i own which replaced a BenQ Panel) the HP27XQ it's a 1440p 27" 144Hz Freesync Monitor (with the full 48-144 Hz Freesync range!) which works perfectly fine with "GSync compatability" on my 2080 Ti. the Panel is a TN but looks fantastic (much better than my 27" BenQ 144hz Monitor i bought 2 years ago) 1ms response time, no HDR but the monitor costs less than 300 bucks.
