So i am fairly new to pc building, i know  some but not a whole lot. built my first pc about 2 months ago.

With black friday and cyber monday coming up, i was thinking of getting another ssd for storage. i current have a 250gb 860 samsung evo ssd and a 1tb seagate hdd. mobo being the asrock b350 pro4. i was thinking of getting the ssd linked below. What i want to know is that do i need like nvme support or something? also heard something about m.2 slots for boot drives but i want to use it as just extra storage.

Which is fine, just remember, if it dies, *everything* on it is gone, so be sure you have either a good backup plan, or don't care about the data

The board will support the card natively.

Your Top slot support NVME/PCIE drives.

You can use any sort of SSD for storage just fine, personally I have an M.2 PCIE boot drive and a M.2 SATA as a secondary drive.

@minibois oh nice. but it says supports nvme ssd as boot disks, it doesnt have to be a boot disk does it?

It can be a boot drive, does not have to be one.
