$57 for the cryorig H7 is a lot, and the Samsung Evo series is historically overpriced. A tc sunbow and a hyper 212 black edition work just as well

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Retailers will be happy to clean up old stocks, but this isnt good for you as far as gaming's concerned. 3rd gen is better even if it has less cores, excluding 300GE, 3200G and 3400G since those are Zen+ based just like the 2700X.

Overpriced, its competitors are in the $30-40 range

Not out-of-the-box compatible with 3rd gen, nor does it have BIOS flashback to update to 3rd gen supporting BIOS.

Somewhat expensive for 3000MHz

1TB has traditionally been the best value SSDs. the 500GB 860 Evo is like $10 more (already 20% more) than its competitors so not that much, but at 1TB it's like 30% more expensive

Best value 3.5" HDDs are in the 3-4TB capacity range, even if you dont need that much space I recommend getting 2TB if at all since it's at the same price range of below $50.

Premium custom cards, I dont recommend those since they approach the price of the cheapest of cards for GPU one step higher in the product stack, for example the 2060 super (2060S). Not saying the cheapest of cards are always the way to go, but 2060 is not a hot card either so I'd stop at mid range models like the EVGA SC Ultra, SC, MSI Gaming, Gigabyte Gaming Pro (triple fan) or Asus Dual.

Everything looks good but go with the 5700XT and be team red in both CPU and video card as that performs on par with 2060.

  • I'd get a different cooler, the mounting hardware for the H7 is a fucking nightmare. The U14S is only a few dollars more and significantly better, but in cooling and mounting hardware.
  • I'd get different RAM.
  • I'd grab a 1TB SSD, they're not much more.
  • I'm pretty sure you can get a 2060 Super for not much more or the same price, and the 5700 XT is right around that price point as well.
  • You can get an RMX PSU for an extra $10.

But, above all...wait until Black Friday and build then. No point in making lists now.
