New PC Build

I want to build a PC that can be used for both Gaming and school work. 

Budget up to $800-$900 US

 

Gaming (Rainbow 6 Siege, Minecraft with Shaders, Smite)

And using Solidworks and Matlab for school, and other 3-D graphic design programs. 

 

I already have a AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor, but I need help finding the best motherboard and graphics card with it. 

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'd go with a B450 board, 16gb of ram (3200mhz) and maybe a 2060. If you're at 1440p thought I'd get an RX 5700

Any B450 board? Because there are so many options, and I am not sure which one to get. Same with the 2060. As for ram which brand is the most reliable in your opinion?

This GPU is perfect for 1440p gaming; if you are only gaming on 1080p, and are not looking to upgrade the monitor, you could go with a 5700 instead (saves about ~$80)

Basics, B450 motherboard, 16GB RAM, you didn't say what refresh or resolution your monitor is so graphics card is hard to say.

But, above all, wait for Black Friday before you buy/pick parts.
