Was just looking at this myself. Having trouble getting an Asrock B450M to boot with an R5 3600

I'm helping someone plan a build, I haven't had an AMD machine for 15 years but if I build a new one it'll be Ryzen for sure

Just get an MSI B450 board that has USB bios flashing without a CPU.

if you're buying new just check with the seller for updated bios?=x...or getting a board with bios flashback...

US $900 I'm either going to beat the prebuilt on performance and match price or match performance and beat the price.  Currently it's an 8700 1060 16gb ram 256 ssd 1tb hdd

 

Budget is still shoe string because she needs everything inc chair monitors and peripherals and knowing her overall budget she won't make it with a $900 prebuilt

I'm just going off pcpartpicker, is this something most sellers do?

R5 2600s are down to like $120

 

and RX 5700s are on sale for $320-330, should be able to get both of those in with minimal cheaping out on the rest of the PC components.

You should get an $80-120 RX 470/480/570/580 on ebay otherwise.

 

Ebay has Pay Pal Credit which offers you 0% interest over 6 months btw...
