switching from nvidia to amd

Go to solution Solved by samcool55,

You can use DDU to properly nuke the nvidia driver.

Once the 5700xt is in, install the latest driver from the AMD website because windows never installs the latest version.

so uninstalling the nvidia drivers  then tacking out the old gpu in with the new one  installing the amd drivers and everything's good to go ?

Yup, that's all you need to do.

And even if you do it wrong or windows decides to be stupid it's not a big problem. The chance of this going very wrong is really low.
