Looking for Laptop for College

I'm trying to figure out what laptop I should get for college (IT). I personally want Windows 10 (any), 16 gb minimum, enough graphics to play some good games, at least 3GHz processor (at least 2 core), touchscreen/pen enables preferred, storage doesnt matter as long as I can install  a SSD. Any recommendations?

That's Canadian pesos, 1215.75 USD which is still a good budget.

Tbh, get a used Lenovo Thinkpad (generally used business laptops) for your portable needs (add an SSD if necessary), then spend the remaining of your budget to get a decent gaming desktop.

You could get a surface book 3 or something stupidly expensive like that, but pretty much any laptop at that price is going to have at least those specs. For gaming, maybe a Razer Blade. This version only has a 60 hz display, and for $200 more you can get a 144 hz one. If you haven't already you can watch the Back to School laptops video that Linus made. Right now the model with the 1060 is out of stock.

Ah, my desktops good for now. I have a ryzen 5 1600 and a gtx 1070ti. I plan on upgrading the cpu when those new 3000's come out

I have not had the greatest luck with Lenovo

wait since you already have a desktop, why do you want good graphics on laptop? I assume that means you are not bringing your desktop with you? because good graphics on laptop is gonna cost so much more than ones without

Less looking for "Good", I mispoke. I just want something that can play, like, Rocket League or something on medium graphics

oh, then pretty much anything with 8th gen cpu or better will do i think, if you dont care about the size or battery they can go really cheap like 300 bucks.

 

the gpu that comes in those cpu should do good if you are just playing these light weight titles.
