I know this should be simple but it is not working for me. I bought an Windows 8.1 product key on microsoft's website, I found a website to download the iso file for windows 8.1, and putted on a usb. When I use the usb to boot it keeps on saying that replace boot device with a proper one. And now because of my constant rebooting of the computer, it sometimes won't go in to bois.

My set up is:

AMD fx4350 4.2 ghz

Nvidia GTX760 EVGA SC

ASUS M5A97 R2.0

KINGSTON HYPERX GENESIS 8GB RAM single stick

120 GB KINGSTON HYPERX 3K SSD

CX600 PSU

you cannot drag and drop an iso on to a flash drive

you need to use a software to expand the iso file for the bios to recognize as a bootable device.

you can use microsoft tool for windows iso files -> http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

if you have other iso files not from microsoft, you can use YUMI -> http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/

what do you mean by bootable?

Use the quote or multiquote, for faster responses \/ \/
