So I am currently in the process of creating a list for a semi budget (slightly leaning to higher end) computer and I have the parts listed on an amazon list.

I want to make sure I didnt miss anything and I want to get opinions on where I can improve my build / save money.

I have an A+ cert and working on sec + so i have some idea of trouble shooting but not much.... I think I got everything though and it looks okay?

This is a bit confusing.  You have computer parts, and then 2 different complete machines at the bottom.  Also two different monitors that are different make/model.  So 3 machines and 2 monitors

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

the two different machines are for something else later which is why I asked people ignore them.

The monitors IDK.

Ah.  I thought I was supposed to ignore the second item, the motherboard

any interest in small formfactor?

that way the case has a much smaller footprint

thought about it, but I am worried about case size not fitting stuff on the 1st build as well as heat distribution across the motherboard.

you can use both monitors. the mobo is kinda "eh" aswell as the storage being rather expencive for what it is.

Any recomendations on  a better gaming motherboard/ do you think that i should just go with a sata SSD with the same size?

You can get a windows 10 key for $5 on ebay

Why not just a single 1440p 100-120hz ultra wide?

much better value to get an R5 3600 + RX 5700/XT

don't need 32Gbs of Ram, go for a 660p or something cheaper, a decent 1TB NVME SSD isn't more than $100

Overpriced PSU

Mesh C isn't bad, but there are perfectly fine cases around $60, or just get an H500...

So @Streetguru I dont think ill be going with the AMD and I dont think imma budge on my video card either. everything else ill look into. also worried about cooling for my case. Also i agree on the ram thing. I can bring that down to 16 and add later if needed.

Also really dont trust those windows keys.

did the revisions here. together with changing the PSU from unneccesary overkill to something sensible. changed storage and Ram and added a 144hz 1440p VA panel and a 144hz 1080p IPS panel. both fairly large at 27".

if i was to change the Z390 board, id look at something like the Gigabyte UD if i remember correctly.

Ryzen 3000 is hardly behind in gaming, but has twice the threads for anything you'd do besides gaming, or you can save another $100 with an R5 3600

If you are only going to game at 1080p 144hz you really don't need a 2070 super, the 2060 would do just fine on it's own, but the RX 5700 is the same price ish...for more performance.

I'm using one of those keys right now, as do many other people, they are perfectly fine.

The Scythe Fuma 2 is just the cheapest dual tower cooler.

I was looking at some of the other cards and I wanted more consistancy. Looking at that and dips in FPS I chose 2070 super for that reason.

2070s will provide a lot of overhead, but also allows for running at 1440p with no issues.

id go for the build i suggested as its a better overall package, tho i can tweak it to be smaller or other requests no problem. i would honestly go with a mini-tower.

What do you mean by overhead?

Enough performance to give more than adequate performance.

5 minutes ago, TheRiktorMain said:

and benefits of the mini tower IRL? @GoldenLag

Its smaller.

Takes up less space than a massive tower on or under the desk

I would really just get the single 1440p ultra wide in that case, they're only $400 now

If you run a 2070 super at 1080p, not counting ray tracing, you'd only be using like 70-80% of the GPU you paid for

I do plan on upgrades in the future so I want the card to last a while which is also why I chose for overkill. Itll last longer and I can upgrade other parts.

You could easily fit a 2080 super into your budget then if you just want to go all the way with it.

just sub in the 9700K naturally.
