just a question of weather or not the bios is updated for Ryzen 3000. The MSI website lists it as updated, but that would only apply to new stock I'd imagine. AMD has free boot kits otherwise, or a local PC shop may be able to lend you a CPU.

The Tomahawk MAX works out of the box with Ryzen 3000 cpu's. They have bios flashback anyway.
