Daz 3D upgrade suggestions

Long version:

I mainly use my computer for Daz 3D rendering. I recently upgraded my video card from a EVGA GTX 670 to a Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super and notice a big difference. However I noticed when working with complex scenes or multiple figures my computer starts to lag tremendously during the iray preview. I can handle renders taking a couple of hours to complete as I usually just leave it on while I sleep, but dealing with this amount of lag makes positioning and working in the scene almost unbearable and I feel that my system may be bottlenecking  somewhere. I don't have the kind of budget that Linus has, so i'm looking for advice on where I should focus on upgrading next to help eliminate some of this lag i'm experiencing. 

 

My video card is still within the return window if that is what my next upgrade should be, however I believe it's not quite living up to its full potential because i'm currently running it with 16GB of Corsair DDR4 @2666Mhz and a intel i5 8400 @ 2.8Ghz.

Problem

System lags heavily while working with complex scenes or multiple figures in nvidia iray viewport in Daz 3D. System runs very smooth when not using the nvidia iray, which is fine in some cases but often times I still need to preview in iray before I start my render. So i'm looking for advice on what my next upgrade should be, or if I need a better video card.

Motherboard: Asus Strix z370-i

CPU: Intel i5 8400 @ 2.8Ghz (not unlocked or overclocked)

Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe 

Video: Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super (8GB)

Ram: 16GB Corsair Vengence DDR4 @2666mhz
