Hi,

I've just bought a Ryzen 3800x cpu and still searching for a gpu to go with it.

I would like to keep the costs as low as possible (tho I bought the 3800x :) )
I hear bottleneck calcs are bs, so im asking on this forum if some of the gpu's mentioned below would bottleneck (and mostly if it'll be a visible problem)

rtx 2060/2060s 2070/2070s 2080/2080ti and the rx 5700/5700XT

Ofcourse the higher-ends on this list wont bottleneck, but ar expensive.
I would like to go more towards 2060s / 2070

Thank you in advance

Regards,
Tomas

2070 Super is excellent, or the 5700XT (it's cheaper too) if you don't need/want the RTX features and better NVENC encoder on the 2070S.

Agreed, they're the two best price/performance options atm. I have a 2070 Super and I'm very happy with it.

thx for the replies. 2070s is great. though it is quite expensive. anyone knows how bad the bottleneck is with 2060 or 2060s?

What games are you playing? Resolution? FPS target? Your not going to have issues with the CPU bottle necking any of the cards listed in the posts above.

Not bad at all, the 2060 and 2060 Super are excellent cards as well. Or the RX 5700 (little brother to the 5700 XT), I believe it's faster than the 2060 but costs about as much as the 1660 Ti.

That is currently the CPU with the highest single-core performance in the world. It's good with ANY GPU, as it'll be the least likely to have any bottlenecking on the CPU side.

Unless you're doing something that needs the NVENC, getting a 5700/5700XT is a much better option for the price.

Not sure where you get your info from but the 3900x and alot of intel parts have way higher single-core performance than a 3800x.

Stats have changed slightly, and the PRO line is running along the top now.

With that CPU, I'd say, RTX2070S or higher, but if you're looking at good price/performance, then the 5700XT. I've built myself a nice Ryzen rig, but it's being held back by my VEGA64, still it performs nicely at 3440x1440, would have grabbed a top-end 5700XT in a heartbeat, but I have my heart set on big NAVI next year.
