RAM & Processor Compatibility

Hi there!

 

Recently I bought an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G and Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-16GB 3000MHz RAM.

 

I only realised today (a day after purchase, I ordered it online) that the processor says the max RAM speed is 2933MHz DDR4, but I've got 3000MHz DDR4. Is this just advisory or is it something I need to change?

You can run your RAM as slow as you like. Personally I would try to overclock them to the advertised 3000MHz and perhaps even a little bit beyond, and just reset the BIOS and go for a lower speed if the system is not stabile.

It should run fine. You don't need to change unless the ram is faulty or something
