Driver compatibility, avoid any conflicts or performance errors because of it

 

You can just use it as such, but good general practice would be to reinstall it completely

Recommended practice when changing your motherboard is to re-install Windows. Performance hick-ups are hit'n'miss when you swap motherboards. Sometimes it's fine sometimes the system will endlessly BSOD.

 

If the system is fine without reinstalling Windows then re-installing your applications won't do much or anything for you.

 

If you start to experience unexplainable errors or crashes you'll want to re-install Windows as a whole.
