Do you think a dedicated sound card, or even one of those USB to mic/speaker converters would work?

I don't know about the USB thing, but I know a Soundcard would. I would think the USB one would, and it would be an easy check, since I think some of those are as low as $20USD (if not lower). Quality might suffer, but at least you'll know if it is what you want/need.

If it says 'HD Audio' or 'AC97', click that option and switch to any other option (other than disabled/off).

Okay so I went into my BIOS, the only mention of audio I have is to whether or not I want to enable or disable my audio controller... currently it is enabled, if I were to disable the audio controller, no audio would be outputted.

Windows screwed up all the audio settings with the last update, so I can't find the option (if its even still there somewhere), but with the Realtek Audio driver, there was an option to have the front and rear ports play different audio streams.

EDIT: Okay, so if you can find the 'Realtek Audio Console' application, that is where you will be able to sort the audio stuff. It might be available in the Windows Store, if you can't find it anywhere else.

I remember that being a setting at one point... There's no longer an Advanced Settings menu in the Realtek Audio Manager.

See if you can find 'Realtek Audio Console' in the Windows Store, and see if that is any different than the audio manager you currently have.

No app is listed as Realtek Audio Console in the Windows Store.

I did manage to find a link to it, https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/p/realtek-audio-control/9p2b8mcsvpln?ocid=AID2000142_aff_7593_321292&tduid=(ir__hk60ze3lv0kfr1ifkk0sohzn0m2xgg6b2nym16fr00)(7593)(321292)()()&irgwc=1&irclickid=_hk60ze3lv0kfr1ifkk0sohzn0m2xgg6b2nym16fr00&rtc=1&activetab=pivot:overviewtab

But whenever I tried to install it, it says error.

Yeah, even looking on their site, it's not showing up; everything is listed as 'Driver Only'. And the Gateway list of drivers doesn't help any, either.

Sorry, my dude. There used to be a way, anyway. I know I am using a similar setup, but my audio console is Gigabyte specific. Except, instead of playing to headphones, I had it set to a different output that I was able to capture and play as a different audio source in OBS. One was 'stream friendly' audio, the other was my normal creative music playlists.

Sounds like the best option, I'll cut Microsoft some slack and blame the issue on my outdated motherboard, but in all honesty Windows should be able to separate one jack from another lol, thanks for your help man!

It really should. God i hate window's audio settings.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
