They basically works the same...rgb don't really steal that much energy from the slot...but paying additional 30 for rgb is expensive...unless you want rgb you can just get the lpx version...

 

In case you wonder..I got mine on amazon prime day at newegg for just SGD$244.99 it's selling for SGD$278.19 now...so I didn't pay for the rgb..I think..xD

It would work however at the same time it can only clock as high as 2666mhz.

I have a worry though: if I put together a system with the followings:

 

Core i3-9100F

Asus Rog Strix B365-G Gaming

 

After I've plugged this memory kit into the the memory slots, will the it creates a contention issue with the NVMe M.2 considering both are using PCIe 3.0 lanes? this is very important consideration to me.

Not an issue since NVMe storage uses chipset lanes.
