Threadripper 1920x vs 3700x

hi i am planning to build a pc for my work and a little gaming i will planning to build a pc with 3700x (500aud) upon looking i found that threadripper 1920x is on sale in Australia and i am getting it for as low as 330 aud.. the build cost me around same as x399 motherboard is expensive should i go for threadripper or 3700x ?

What kind of work? the 3700X is like a significantly superior processor unless you require the 64 PCI-e lanes and Quad Channel memory support the TR1920X offers, what dictates your pick here shouldn't really be the cost of the parts but what you actually work with.

3700x seems to be the far superior choice in your needs.

The TR4 have more PCIe lanes, if you don't need multiple GPUs or anything else that run on PCIE lanes, the 3700X and 3900X will be a superior CPU.
