Thinking of getting watercooling (Dont know if its worth it)

So I am thinking of possibly getting watercooling for my system but I know nothing about it and I do not know if it would be worth it for my system. I currently have a Ryzen 7 1700x CPU and my current cooler is a Noctua NH-D15. I bought it used but it still works pretty well. My case is a NZXT 700i

The only real benefit you'll get upgrading from a NHD15 is looks

Probably not. I only water cool to get extra performance (from lower temps on GPUs), 0 noise and low temperatures.

I wouldn't spend a dime on a 1700X cooler, you already have one of the best.

 

Save that money for something that increases performance, IMO.

I'd say it is not worth it. The custom liquid loop would literally cost more than your CPU+Motherboard combined. While giving you very little real world performance benefit. The Ryzen chips overclock horribly too, so you wouldn't be able to get your CPU to run much faster with the loop.
