Looking for a laptop

My mother need a budget laptop around 400$. she will use it mostly for Words and Gmail. so i suggest her i3 laptop 

i3 laptop

SSD preferably but HDD is okay.

1080P iPS panel

thin and light

An iPad? $329 for the 10.2" model. 

 

If the keyboard is required probably a basic chromebook.

I recommended this Surface Pro the other day, and I'll recommend it here as well. It's $500, keyboard is included: https://amzn.to/2IBZBkj. Also worth checking the used market, you can get an iPad Pro and keyboard cheap.

I would recommend a Chromebook. That is unless she has specific software requirements for "words". But Google Docs can save as a Word Doc.
