Bootmgr image corrupt

I am getting some weird error, just came out of nowhere. 
 

BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot. Why is this showing?

 

and lately I have had to press start button multiple times on the case before the pc boots. 
 

should I change the battery inside the motherboard?

This indicates potentially a hard drive failure. Particularly if it takes multiple attempts to boot.
