Have you tried going through the monitors built in menu to see if something's enabled that's causing the excessive flicker?

Is this a new PC or something you already know was working fine with another monitor? Is everything set correctly in your video drivers, resolution, refresh rate? If that's not it, and there's nothing in the monitors settings causing the issue then Asus may try a few quick troubling basics with you. If they have a firmware update available they my send you that with instructions. Other than that you may need an RMA.

Return it, and get your money back.
