What are you going to do with this pc? What is your budget? Why choose a 2nd Gen over 3rd Gen? Do you have any carry over parts from a previous pc?

What i will be doing the most is rendering. I see this computer as a workstation, occasionally some gaming. My Budget is around 1800$. I don´t have any parts from an other pc, because i was using always a laptop. What do you think will be a good configuration for this budget? which processor do you recommend me?
