So I'm trying to set up pc gaming from the couch. The tv is a 4k tv at 60 Hz and my pc monitor is 2k at 144hz.

I can't seem to get games to run at 2k (1440p) at 60 fps on my tv. I've checked nivida settings and when I select 1440p it only let's me go to 60hz. 4k I can select 60 Hz and 1080p I can select 120hz.

Hope I havent made this too confusing.

what exactly are you asking?

are you duplicating the display between the monitor and TV?
what cable are you using to conenct to the 144hz monitor?
is it the TV or monitor that works at 1080p 120hz?

why no dark mode?

No, I switch between display 1 and 2, not extending or duplicating.

Using a regular hdmi cable. The tv can go up to 120 Hz on 1080p and 60hz on 4k. So I would assume I can also do 1440p at 60 Hz at least but no luck.

The monitor runs at 144hz any resolution
