So a while ago I bought a 2070super and a new 144hz monitor (with freesync)

with g sync enabled whenever i alt tabbed out of the game its like my monitor would change the resolution about 3 or 4 times, any browsers i had open would shirk and appear in the top left of the screen. Id get that windows notification telling me about the g sync settings pop up too. When i went back into the game it would do exactly the same thing and then minimise it making me have to try and open it about 3 more times before it would stick

I turned g sync off and its still doing this

i have no idea what its doing or why its doing this

any ideas?

borderless windowed mode would solve this problem in games that offer it, and also you can use a program called "borderless gaming" to apply borderless windowed mode to almost every game.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

What monitor is it? Some monitors also require you to manually enable FreeSync on their menu.

Might be a better option to DDU in safe mode and start new indeed... download the driver beforehand then DDU in safe mode and when you reboot don't enable internet so Windows Update doesn't get in the way... only then install the latest driver.

after you enable freesync on the monitor...you need to enable g-sync...

then:

you need to make sure the game and nvidia resolution are set to 144hz...

This is generally correct behaviour when u do exclusive full screen game on windows. Some older title does it very strict and would have issue alt tabbing. Even newer game like Apex would crsh if u alt tab too much. Fix would be turn off ‘exclusive’ full screen, and also play on resolution same as monitor resolution.

Never had a notification mentioning gsync on my pc ever.

But I did have a issue about tabbing out and it would change the refresh rate on me. Updated to a newer driver and it seemed to stop. It was months behind as I don’t play new games.
