Extending usb 2.0 cable for Index base station

Cactu
Go to solution Solved by vanished,

I have a 20 foot extender and have used it with game controllers before.  Never explicitly tried a VR headset but I wouldn't expect issues.

Quick question: so I have a valve index and a 6 foot usb 2.0 cable wont reach my base station. I want to know wether the signal will degrade too much for the base station to work and if it does degrade too much, how will I notice it? I am willing to buy an active extension cable, but I want to know if I have to or not. Thanks in advance!

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.
