Well, at first, I was very certain that getting the ASUS gtx 780 DirectCU II OC would be the best bet. Solid build, quite nice looking, robust, cool, and all their nice jibber jabber. But then I saw NCIX's gtx 780 video and that got me thinking... is EVGA the way to go?

I'm quite uncertain of this, so I made a poll for you to vote on and tried to include as many 780s as possible. Another question is what's the difference between the SuperClocked and the Classified version of the EVGA 780? I mean, the color switches from black to grey, but that's about it. If you voted "Others" on the poll, please specify which one. And also, I won't be doing SLI.

So bretheren, enlighten me!

Alright, that's what I thought too, but if you saw NCIX's gtx 780 video it's best performer (and the coolest card) was the EVGA classified, so I'm kind of baffled votes are going this way. Plus I heard EVGA customer service is apparently pretty good.

It may very well be better. I haven't owned an EVGA card before. I'm curious to see how the votes go.

i'd go with the ASUS GTX 780, it runs cooler and also it's pretty quiet.

the EVGA GTX 780 SC is basically clocked higher than the classified version.

Evga 100%. I heard a story on this forum yesterday about going from a standard 660 ti to a 760 ftw 4gb. Even if evga had slightly worse performance I would still choose them.

Go with EVGA, you won't be dissapointed. The cooler is super quiet and if it breaks on you the warranty is done in a twitch. They also have an upgrade program that I don't know a whole lot about, but @ was running 2 660Ti's, one broke, and in their upgrade program he got a 760 back. They even replaced the second card for him for a 760 just so he can run SLI!

I think classy is the best (excluding kingpin), but its also more expensive (I think).
