Need help My psu is dead how can I fix it?

OK so I build a pc couple of months back with an I7 3930k oced at 4.2 GHz 16 GB ddr3 RAM an gtx 970 from gigabyte 4 tb library storage (2tbx1, 2x1tb) and a 500gb ssd for the OS and a corsair 1200i I had that psu (or as they said on the verge pc build guide THE BRIK) for around 3 years and never had any problems with it till now I tested the hardware with another psu just to see if I damaged anything and it all works just fine can someone tell me if its worth to repair it?

It should still have the warranty, just RMA it.

PSUs are non user servicable, don't even try to fix it, theres a pretty huge electrocution risk.

If you have to ask how to fix it, you don't have the required skills to fix it. Power-supplies' internals aren't something a novice should be messing around with, like e.g. you could kill yourself if you forget to empty those capacitors in them and go poking around.

 

So no, either take it to a professional to fix or buy a new one.

Considering that it has a 10 year warranty and was released in 2012 you can just RMA it.

For the price of that ridiculously overkill PSU, you damn sure better RMA it.

If it's out of warranty coverage, I would not attempt to open up a power supply. The risk isn't worth it.

Either RMA it if it's in warranty or buy something new if it's not (Tier A or better from the PSU TIer List pinned in this subforum)
