Hello I am new here. I just need help with my network printer. I want to be able to print to my printer anywhere from my AP 1,2,3

my printer is BROTHER TCP-500W

Problems:

I cant ping it from my PC.

I cant print from my PC. It says that my printer is offline

Here is a diagram for my printer.

1. The printer is connected wirelessly to my main router

2. The firewall on my PC is already off

Hoping anyone can help me fix it.

Double check to make sure you dont have any type of port isolation enabled. This will effectively block any device on the same network and subnet from being able to see each other and pinging each other.

Doesnt look to be VLAN'd since they're on the same subnet, the 192.168.1.x network.

If its okay to ask where can i check that "port isolation"? on my main router? or in my Ubiquiti APs

Usually the Port Isolation will be on your APs.

I tried pinging everyone on my network. I can ping them, routers, other devices (laptop from another AP, phones, tablets)

but i cant ping my printer

so if you can see/ping everything else but your printer, then verify you can see it on the wifi network. If so, try and plug your device into the router opposed to connecting via wifi and check and test. If good there, login to your printer, the IP should get you to the GUI and verify nothing weird setup there.

I checked in my wifi network using an application named (Wireless Network Watcher- it shows everyone connected to the network (wired and wireless))

I can see my printer there. I also tried connecting to my main router wirelessly. I can just print fine.

So is it a possibility that the one blocking my printer is my Ubiquiti AP?

But I cant find any Port Isolation feature in my Ubiquiti Controller

Edit:

I found the Port Isolation but it is disabled

Try toggling it.

I did but still no effect. It wont let me ping nor print from the AP. Do you think this is not an port isolation problem? maybe something else?

Hard to say, but it has the hallmark of port isolation type effect except you can ping anything else connected.

I had a similar problem. WiFi printers are just bad. If it disconnects, you have to add it again. My luckily has a USB port. I connected the USB

to my server and shared the printer with my other devices.
