those cards you see on amazon are pretty low bandwidth like your going to run into issues when you use all of them

or maybe even half tbh

I am wanting to get as many ports as possible. Those are too expensive for those amount of USB ports. I found a few other brands that give 5 USB ports for like 20 dollars.

Yeah, those startech ones are a bit too expensive. The other smaller brands I found on Amazon have 4 or 5 please ports for like 20 dollars or so.

why not save up? lol

you need one right now? that will only give you two usb max if you load them up?

I have no way of earning money except for possibly Christmas. That is why I wanted a case with a 5.25 inch bay so I can get a front panel hub. I can't just save up with no income.

my best bet would be to go for something similar to this https://www.newegg.com/riitop-model-nec-525t4u3-2u2-pci-express-controller-card/p/17Z-0061-00050?Item=9SIA6V87C97138

k im going to warn you though, the same factory makes all those on amazon and newegg those "kingwin" ones included

theyre cheap garbage, you wont get full speeds, the plastic will probably chip and its going to eventually let you down.

Hope it works out

I don't really need them for much. I can just use the expansion card for my mouse or and stuff and use my motherboard ports and such. At some point I will be getting a new motherboard but can't really find any within a good budget that has the same amount of ports or more and have another 3.0 internal header.

what cpu you have?

6600k with a 2080. A few games I have been playing have been lagging at about medium to high settings. So I was was going to use what money I had to upgrade and give parts to a friend who is still using a 4460 and a gt720

Also got this. It is working so far. No issues.i don't really use USB ports for transferring files to drives and such. Just accessories like webcams, mice and keyboards. But other than that I only needed more for a VR headset.

my current one has 8? and i am not sure on a motherboard budget for right now. probably at this point i will just wait for new stuff to come out. by then i should have enough to upgrade and such. but i was thinking of an MSI board, i think it was the MSI meg ace? there was a gigabyte board i was looking as well. but  i just don't want to lose any USB ports at the same time. i have the msi gaming m5 z170a

this is the msi. so i don't really have a budget. as long as it has a good amount of usb ports really.
