Spray Painting X72 Radiator?

HI all!

 

I'm building my new rig using a white theme and I have decided on the X72 cooler for my 3950x.

 

The only problem is that the rad is black and I'd like it to be white.

 

I have seen Techsource spray painting some radiators and wondering could I do it myself.

 

Can I use any white spray paint or do I have to choose specific ones? Any recommendations are welcome!

Regular hardware store spray paint will work you will want to lightly scuff the surface and put on a coat a primer to help promote adhesion. As for paint options if you are looking for the best brightness especially for colors like white automotive paints tend to be the best option. 

 

Just remember to wrap up the rest of the cooler and tape off the fin array as paint on the fins can affect performance.
