Yes, and maybe a little bit of video editing, I want to mainly play csgo at 200+ fps (medium/low settings) but have the confidence that I can run other games.

in which case the Ryzen 5 3600 would be a better buy

You just need a BIOS update. If you get an MSI board, most of those don't even need a CPU to do that, they have a BIOS flashback feature.

If you purchase a motherboard that requires a BIOS update to work with the 3600, AMD will ship a free loaner CPU if you contact customer support and provide proof of purchase.

They loan you a basic CPU to do the BIOS update if your board can't flashback by itself, then you send the borrowed CPU back.

if you want a motherboard that can flash without a CPU:

I should be  able to flash the board that I already have listed since it supports Q-Flash

But Q-flash requires the components to be in the and it will only work if it has a supported cpu installed. so guess im redoing the list, but hey atleast Im learning allot :)
