I made a post about a week back about how my newly built computer was artifacting. I was given a solution and I thought it fixed it, it only made it so that I wouldn't get artifacts during games. I get artifacts when I use a browser or discord, but never when I run a benchmark or game.

Spes

Xeon 1660 v2

600w psu

Rx 570 Reddevil

32gb of ddr3 ecc registered

I am just wondering if this is a driver problem or a hardware one.

Current Gaming System

Cpu - R5 2600

Cpu Cooler - 240mm Deepcool Captain AIO

Motherboard - B450 Aorus Elite

RAM - 3200mhz Corsiar Vengeance Pro RGB (2x8gb)

Gpu - 2070 Super FE

Psu - Thermaltake Smart BX1 650W 80+ Bronze

Case - Cooler Master H500

Storage - 240gb Crucial SATA SSD (boot), 3tb Seagate 7200rpm HDD

Have you DDU'd the drivers an reinstalled them using Adrenaline? If not try it. If the GPU was purchased used then it may be faulty.

Before my current gpu a had a hd 6870 to boot it off of because the rx 570 hadn't come yet, I ddu'd the drivers and have installed the newest ones 19.9.3. The 570 is new off of amazon.

If you have a recent AMD display driver then it could be the issue.

I've reverted back to my go to AMD display driver which is 19.1.1.

How would I install older ones, would I run ddu to remove the new ones then search for older ones to install?

Try the other pci-e slot and see if that works, it's an older platform it may be starting to show it's age.

Exactly that, yeah.

Would I tick the box in DDU that says remove AMD for drive C or the main system drive?

Try the card in a different PC. It's probably faulty.

That would rule out the PC, but wouldn't rule out the graphics card.
