CPU update?

I know this is a newby question. 

I know you update your gpu through GeForce and Bios updates through propreitary software, (so i have Asus Zephyrus G laptop and BIOS updates occur through MyAsus)

but do you also update the CPU too (in my case a Ryzen) or is it done already through the BIOS update.

you can't update a cpu.

The CPU microcode update is for motherboard bios.
