Multi GPU issues

So, i was trying to add a 1060 3GB to my rig, for folding month, but it seems that my pc will not boot. i am running a 1070Ti of the same cable, and my wondering is that my Rm 650x is dissalowing this. is this the case, or should i look elsewhere?

i'm not sure i'm following. are you trying to add a 1060 to a rig thats already running a 1070ti?

 

edit: nvm, i just looked up folding month. i assumed you were trying to run sli

yeah, no im not quite THAT silly, but yeah, it did not seem to boot, however i had gone from 1 1060  in the first slot, to 1070Ti in the first slot, and second gpu in the second slot, which was theoretically too much for windows to work out what to do, but i wanted to rule out a hardware issue first
