I'm trying to track down a replacement screen for a code reader. The screen broke and now has no display, it's easy to change  but I can't locate a replacement by the part number on it, honestly I'd be happy with ANY display that would work since I'll have it at home for a spare, already replaced it for work use.

open connector and pull out flex strip

count the contacts (looks like parallel 16 bit with some contacts for the led driver ic power, bias, contrast etc)

measure the pin pitch

try to figure out the original resolution, measure the width and height , was it grayscale, was it color, did it have backlight or not etc

go to electronic parts distributors and use filters to reduce selection then check datasheets and see what connector the displays uses and if it matches yours.

ex filter by width and height give or take 1-2cm on any side , then maybe select a few resolutions that you think may be the right ones.. then further look through datasheets...

Example of lcd displays on digikey: https://www.digikey.com/products/en/optoelectronics/display-modules-lcd-oled-graphic/107

I was hoping not to have to do it the hard way lol, I'll put some time into that tomorrow. Thanks.
